Coron, Palawan

Coron is the third largest island in the Calamian Islands in northern Palawan in the Philippines. It’s one of the most visited islands by tourists. It is known to be one of the best places to deep dive. Although I don't deep dive, I went snorkeling and it was breath taking to see the beautiful nature underwater. Upon my day tour, we visited seven places on the island with our tour guide on a “banka”. Each visit included swimming, snorkeling and of course sightseeing. We snorkeled in the middle of the ocean where there was a shipwreck from War World II. It was cool to see, but it also gave me the creeps because I’ve heard of stories about spirits still wandering around that ship. On one of the beaches, we went kayaking and that was super fun and a great arm workout. It amazes me that the tour guide didn’t wear slippers at all during the hike up to the top of the mountain.

For lunch, we had a filipino/seafood buffet which was super delicious! It consisted of bbq chicken, fish, pancit, rice, and much more! Right after lunch, we went to our next destination which was another deep part of the ocean for snorkeling. The coral were so high that we really had to stay afloat otherwise it would touch our chest! It my first time seeing coral that high! Our last destination was the one you see on google. The island has a very distinct structure and shape. We had to go through this crevice in order to get to the other side. More photos/videos coming soon!
